State of the art dental equipment and procedures provide dental health beyond just “cleaning”… ask us how we can actually increase your pet’s lifespan through regular dental health maintenance!
Unfortunately, our animals are a little too good at hiding illness and pain from us…they are subject to a lot of the same dental problems that people get, like tartar, gingivitis, bad breath, and damage to the enamel of their teeth (all of which can seriously affect their comfort and well-being.) This is even a problem for rabbits and rodents! It is extremely important that your pet have thorough mouth examinations at least twice a year. Many of our clients are amazed at how much better their pets feel after getting dental care…not to mention the bonus of fresher breath!
Let’s take the mystery out of “doing a Dental” cleaning!...Here is what we do:
- Pre-op blood work is evaluated to asses patient safety & treatments
- Thorough anesthesia monitoring of patients, including EKG & Pulse-Oximetry
- Fluid treatments for heart & blood pressure support/measurements during procedure
- Full Mouth Examination by the Doctor is completed under anesthesia
- Full Mouth Dental Digital X-Rays (40% of information is below the gumline!)
- Evaluate & Treat Gingival Pockets to help save teeth
- Scale Tartar off Teeth & Polish the Enamel Smooth to slow plaque build up
- Fluoride Treatment to harden enamel for greater tooth longevity
- Extractions ONLY if severe irreversible tooth damage (pulling teeth is a last resort)
- Acrylic Enamel Repair & Root canals can be used to save teeth!
The result? Clean mouth, fresh breath, patient wakes up & goes home the same day!
Factoid: High quality, regular dental care can result in an extra two to three years of improved quality of life for your pet!!!
