Marin Cat Connection – a 501 (c) 3 non-profit – is dedicated to cat rescue, adoptions and education. They operate an extensive Adoption Program to help find caring homes for homeless cats and kittens. CMCEH veterinarians support and participate in her program extensively through donation of services weekly.

Wildcare

Wildcare is a wildlife rehabilitation hospital and also provides numerous other resources to the local and larger community. Wildcare works to make sure all species can coexist- not just by treating sick or injured animals (over 3,000 of them a year), but also by teaching people how to live peacefully with wildlife and by advocating for better protection of wildlife and our remaining open spaces. CMCEH veterinarians donate services to their wildlife needs frequently. Each year our doctors donate approximately 45 hours of their time to treat wild animals.

CMCEH veterinarians participate in MHS’s spay and neuter months at their request. We offer reduced spay and neuter prices for owners who rescue animals during certain months. Please inquire with us to find our more information.

The Animal Care & Adoption Network is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to assisting Bay Area Rescue Groups and Shelters save the lives of companion animals. CMCEH veterinarians donate our services to their exotic pet needs monthly.

Community Projects

On May 20th Dr. Lankes and Dr. Bacon will be volunteering at Foothill College spaying and neutering rats. This event will help the RVT students get surgery experience while allowing the rats of a hoarding case from Northstar Rescue to be fixed. Announcements

CMCEH is proud to announce our Internship Program! Nat Smith is our first intern and will be here through June 2012.

Nat is in the final quarter of study in the Veterinary Technology AAS Degree program at Foothill College and will take both the state and national Registered Vet Tech boards this year. Nat lives with partner Jay, three cats, two rabbits, one leopard gecko and a variety of rotating wildlife patient fosters (from crows to skunks) as a part of Nat's work as a wildlife rehabilitation assistant at WildCare.
