Dr. Ken Bacon

Cat-and-Exotic-Hospital-9-30-09_-365_webDr. Ken Bacon, an animal lover since childhood, was encouraged by his relatives to seek a career in the veterinary field early in his teens. An interest in unusual animals sent him to facilities as diverse as the NC Zoological Park in Asheboro, NC to practices in North Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado, and Oregon. The lure of the west brought Dr. Bacon to California shortly after graduation, and he has never left Marin County since (except for the occasional vacation). He continues to have a special interest in feline care, exotic animal medicine, and dentistry.

In addition to his veterinary work, Dr. Bacon also enjoys the entertainment field, and has appeared in numerous local plays as well as on television's Animal Planet.

Pats on the Back

A big thank you to the staff and the doctors at Central Marin Cat & Exotic Hospital for taking such good care of my aging "kidney kitty", Maxi. She is well taken care of when she comes to board and I love that every time I call about anything the staff asks me how my kitty is doing. Everyone there is so caring and real!

Timely Tidbits

April 25, 2010
First "National Pet Parents Day"
Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) has designated the last Sunday in April — this year, April 25 — as National Pet Parent's Day, slating the nation’s first official day celebrating pet caregivers! In the traditional spirit of a spring season set aside for celebrating parents of human children, National Pet Parent's Day recognizes and honors those who lovingly consider pets part of their family. What a great way to celebrate by making sure your pet has the Heath Insurance coverage they need for wellness care, dental care and any health emergency that might arise!

May 4-10, 2010 is National Pet Week!
